Description
When your hydraulic ram starts acting up with spongy operation or uneven lift speeds, there’s a good chance this simple but critical locking ring has worn out or gone missing. The ram locking ring might not look like much, but it plays a crucial role in keeping your hydraulic cylinder’s internal components properly positioned and sealed. Without it, you’ll lose hydraulic efficiency and eventually face costly repairs down the road.
Key Features
- Precisely machined to maintain proper hydraulic cylinder component alignment
- Durable construction that withstands the high pressures of your hydraulic system
- Direct replacement that restores proper ram operation without modifications
- Helps maintain hydraulic seal integrity and prevents internal leakage
Built for Real Farm Work
This locking ring works inside the hydraulic cylinders found on Ford New Holland 60 series tractors like the 8360 and 8560, plus all those dependable TM series machines from TM115 through TM190. These are serious working tractors that handle everything from heavy loader work to demanding three-point implement operations where hydraulic reliability is everything.
Made to Last
Farm hydraulics work under tremendous pressure and constant cycling, which is why this locking ring is built from quality materials that resist wear and maintain dimensional stability. It’s designed to handle the punishment these big tractors dish out day after day, season after season.
Installation Notes
This is definitely an internal hydraulic component job that requires disassembly of the cylinder. If you’re not comfortable with hydraulic work, this is one for your local shop. The system will need to be depressurized and the cylinder opened to access the locking ring position. Keep everything spotlessly clean during assembly—any contamination will cause premature seal failure.
