Installation Notes

Clean the pivot pin shaft thoroughly and check for wear grooves – a damaged shaft will chew up your new seal quickly. Use a proper seal driver to install evenly without nicking the sealing lips. While you’re in there, check that the differential breather isn’t plugged – pressure from a blocked breather will blow out seals faster than you can replace them. A bit of gear oil on the seal lips before installation helps with initial lubrication.
