Description
When you’re hauling heavy loads down a steep hillside or trying to stop quickly in the farmyard, a failing brake master cylinder isn’t just inconvenient—it’s dangerous. When your brakes start feeling spongy or you notice green fluid dripping from the master cylinder, it’s time for a replacement. This brake master cylinder is specifically designed for late-model MF 300 series tractors that use LHM mineral oil – not your typical brake fluid. This master cylinder gets your brakes back to that firm, reliable feel you need to work safely.
What You’re Getting
- Precision-machined cylinder bore ensures smooth piston operation and reliable pressure generation
- Integrated fluid reservoir maintains proper brake fluid levels for consistent performance
- Precision-molded seals that restore proper hydraulic pressure and eliminate brake fluid leaks
- Built with seals specifically designed for mineral oil compatibility
- Heavy-duty construction withstands extreme agricultural operating conditions
Built for Real Farm Work
These tractors handle everything from row-crop farming to hay operations and heavy transport duties. Whether you’re running a Same Rubin through the fields during harvest or using an Agrotron for loader work, this master cylinder delivers the hydraulic pressure needed for confident stops with heavy implements in tow. These tractors frequently operate in demanding conditions including steep terrain, heavy loads, and frequent stop-and-go operations during cultivation, harvesting, and material transport. Reliable brake performance is critical for operator safety when navigating hillsides, controlling heavy implements, and making emergency stops during field operations or road travel between farm locations.
Made to Last
Manufactured to meet stringent agricultural equipment standards, this repair kit uses premium materials specifically formulated for LHM mineral oil brake systems. Unlike standard automotive brake components, these seals are engineered to withstand the unique demands of agricultural hydraulic systems, including higher operating pressures, extended service intervals, and exposure to agricultural contaminants. The mineral oil-compatible seals prevent the breakdown that happens when the wrong fluid type is used.
Good to Know
NEVER mix fluid types – LHM systems require specific fluid for proper operation. Critical safety note: This system requires LHM mineral oil brake fluid only – never use DOT 3, DOT 4, or DOT 5 brake fluids as they will damage seals and compromise brake performance. Bench bleed the new cylinder before mounting to remove air from the system. After installation, bleed the entire system starting with the wheel furthest from the master cylinder, and always test brakes thoroughly before returning to field work.
