Description
When your Oliver starts wandering down the road or you notice play in the front wheels, chances are you’ve got worn front axle bearings. This bearing cone is the inner part of your front wheel bearing assembly, and when it wears out, you’ll feel it in how your tractor steers and tracks. A good bearing keeps your wheels rolling true and your front end tight.
What You’re Getting
- Precision tapered design that handles both radial and thrust loads from steering and field work
- AgSmart quality construction built to take the punishment of farm use
- Direct replacement for original LA5007 bearing cone with exact fit specifications
- Works with the matching bearing cup to create a complete front axle bearing assembly
Built for Real Farm Work
This cone fits the adjustable front axles on Oliver Super 55 and 550 tractors up to serial number 79335, plus the standard front ends on Oliver 66 and Super 66 models. These tractors spent their days pulling cultivators, discs, and planters through all kinds of field conditions where a solid front end was essential for keeping implements running straight.
Made to Last
Tapered roller bearings like this one are the gold standard for front axles because they handle both the weight of the tractor and the side loads from steering and rough ground. The precision manufacturing ensures smooth operation while the hardened steel construction stands up to years of use in dusty, demanding conditions.
Installation Notes
This cone works with its matching bearing cup and needs to be properly adjusted for correct preload—too tight and it’ll run hot, too loose and you’ll have play in the steering. Pack it with good quality wheel bearing grease during assembly, and don’t forget to check the seal while you’re in there. It’s also a good time to inspect the spindle for wear or damage.
