Description
When your Case IH starts slipping between gears or hesitates during shifts under load, worn transmission clutch components are usually behind the trouble. This steel separator plate is one of several that work together in your transmission clutch pack, sandwiched between the friction discs to create the positive engagement you need for smooth power transfer from engine to wheels.
What You’re Getting
- Manufactured to exact specifications with proper heat treatment to resist warping under extreme loads
- Precision-ground surfaces ensure smooth engagement without the grabbing or chattering that makes precise work difficult
- High-carbon steel construction built to handle the demanding power loads of modern agricultural tractors
- Direct replacement that fits right into your existing clutch pack assembly
Built for Real Farm Work
This steel disc is designed for Case IH Magnum series tractors from the 7110 through 8950 models, plus the newer MX series from MX180 to MX270. These are the big row-crop tractors pulling heavy planters, deep-ripping chisel plows, and handling the kind of loads that put serious stress on transmission components. Whether you’re running a 200-horse Magnum through fall tillage or putting an MX270 to work with a 40-foot air seeder, this disc handles the power transfer your operation demands.
Made to Last
Today’s farming puts incredible stress on transmission systems – heavier implements, faster field speeds, and the expectation that these tractors work year-round in all conditions. This replacement steel disc is built to meet those demands with materials and construction that match or exceed what came from the factory. The heat-treated steel resists wear and maintains its smooth surface finish through thousands of hours of operation.
Installation Notes
If you’re ordering steel plates, you should plan on a complete clutch pack rebuild – replacing just some components is false economy. This is typically a transmission-out job that’s best tackled during the off-season when you can take your time and do it right. While you have it apart, check the clutch housing for scoring and measure your clutch pack clearance – improper clearance causes premature failure.
