Description
When your clutch starts slipping under load or won’t fully disengage when you press the pedal, a worn pressure plate is often the culprit. This steel pressure plate is the muscle behind your Deutz-Fahr Agrotron’s clutch system, providing the clamping force needed to transfer all that engine power to your transmission without slipping.
What You’re Getting
- Heavy-duty steel construction that won’t warp under pressure and heat like cheaper materials
- Precision-machined friction surface ensures smooth, consistent clutch engagement every time
- Heat-treated steel maintains proper spring tension and clamping force season after season
- Direct replacement for worn factory pressure plates – no modifications needed
Built for Real Farm Work
Your Agrotron doesn’t do light duty work. Whether you’re pulling a loaded grain cart through soft fields, powering a large round baler up hills, or dragging heavy tillage equipment through tough ground, that clutch system takes tremendous abuse. The pressure plate squeezes the clutch disc against the flywheel with enough force to handle all that torque without slipping.
Made to Last
Every time you press the clutch pedal, the pressure plate’s spring-loaded mechanism flexes. Do that thousands of times while transferring serious horsepower, add in the heat from occasional slipping, and eventually cheaper plates weaken or warp. This steel construction handles the punishment and keeps delivering consistent performance.
Good to Know
While you’re replacing the pressure plate, it makes sense to install a new clutch disc and release bearing – they wear together, and the labor is the biggest expense. Have the flywheel checked for heat damage or scoring and resurface it if needed. Use an alignment tool to center the clutch disc during installation, and follow the correct torque sequence to avoid warping the new plate.
