This reducer is perfect for running smaller implements like older finish mowers, rotary cutters, post hole diggers, or small tillers on tractors with the larger 1-3/8 inch PTO shaft. Many compact and mid-size tractors came with the bigger PTO, but plenty of useful implements were built for the smaller size. This adapter bridges that gap so you can use equipment that’s perfectly good but just doesn’t quite match.

Installation Notes
Clean your tractor’s PTO shaft thoroughly before installation – any buildup prevents proper seating. The splined connection slides right on and locks in place. Always make sure your implement’s PTO shield covers the adapter completely during operation. A good tip: keep track of the extra length this adds to your setup to avoid U-joint damage when making tight turns.
