Description
When you’re cultivating or working ground for planting, you need furrowers that can handle rocky soil and keep their edge season after season. This 18-inch hardsurfaced snub nose furrower is built to slice through tough conditions while creating the precise furrows you need for planting or cultivation work. The hardsurfaced edge means less frequent replacement and more time in the field doing what you need to do.
What You’re Getting
- 18-inch width gives you good coverage and efficient soil movement for most cultivation tasks
- Hardsurfaced construction extends wear life significantly compared to regular steel
- Snub nose design reduces soil buildup and cuts cleanly through crop residue
- Quarter-inch thickness provides the strength to handle rocks and roots without bending
- Flexible mounting options with either two 7/16-inch plow bolts or one 5/8-inch carriage bolt
Built for Real Farm Work
This furrower works on a wide range of cultivators, listers, and tillage equipment where you need to move soil and create furrows. Whether you’re cultivating row crops, preparing seed beds, or working around existing plants, the snub nose design helps prevent soil from building up and clogging your equipment. It’s particularly handy when working in fields with crop residue or where you need clean soil movement.
Made to Last
The hardsurfaced edge is where this furrower really shines. Instead of wearing down quickly like regular steel, the hardsurfaced material keeps its cutting edge much longer, even in abrasive soils or when you hit the occasional rock. The quarter-inch thickness gives you the backbone to handle tough conditions without bending or breaking when things get challenging.
Installation Notes
Mounting is straightforward with the standard 2-1/4 inch bolt spacing that fits most equipment. You can use either two 7/16-inch plow bolts for a secure mount, or a single 5/8-inch carriage bolt if that’s what your setup calls for. When it does eventually wear out, there’s a replacement tip available (194-BW400) that welds right on, saving you the cost of a whole new furrower.
