Description
There’s nothing quite like the feeling of an engine that’s lost its pep. If your Massey’s been getting harder to start, blowing more smoke than usual, or just not pulling like it used to, it might be time to give that engine a complete refresh. This basic overhaul kit gives you the core components needed to bring your tractor’s heart back to life and get it running like the day you first fired it up.
What You’re Getting
- Contains sleeves and sleeve seals, pistons and rings, pins and retainers, plus a complete overhaul gasket set
- Engine bearings must be ordered separately – gives you flexibility to choose the right bearing specs for your rebuild
- Tru-Power quality components designed to handle the demands of farm work day in and day out
- Direct replacement parts that fit like the originals – no modifications or surprises during assembly
Built for Real Farm Work
This kit fits a range of Massey Ferguson tractors that have been the backbone of farming operations for decades. Whether you’re running a compact utility tractor for livestock chores or a mid-size machine for row crop work, these are the same quality components that went into your engine when it was first built. These tractors excel in field cultivation, plowing, planting, mowing, and material handling tasks with approximately 45 horsepower perfectly suited for row crop work, livestock operations, hay production, and general farm maintenance.
Made to Last
Tru-Power has been rebuilding engines for farmers who can’t afford downtime during critical seasons. Complete engine overhaul kits contain sleeves, pistons, rings, pins and retainers, pin bushings, complete gasket sets – all engineered to handle the heat, vibration, and long hours that farm engines endure. The pistons are designed for your specific bore size, and the rings provide proper compression and oil control for years of reliable service.
Good to Know
This is a basic kit, so you’ll need to order bearings separately based on your crankshaft’s condition – standard, .010, .020, or .030 undersizes are available. Most mechanics recommend having the cylinder head checked and serviced while the engine’s apart. It’s also a perfect time to replace your oil pump, water pump, and other wear items. Plan on this being a weekend project if you’re doing it yourself, or a day’s work for your mechanic.
