Description
When you’re getting ground ready for next season, your chisel plow takes a beating—and so do the spikes that do the digging. Rocks, roots, and hard-packed soil can wear down or break your points, leaving you with poor soil penetration and uneven tillage. This 2×18 inch reversible chisel spike gets you back to breaking ground properly, with the added benefit of being able to flip it over for extended wear life.
What You’re Getting
- 18-inch length provides deep soil penetration for effective subsoiling and residue management
- Reversible design means you can flip it over when one side wears down, doubling your wear life
- Flat nose design cuts through soil cleanly while moving residue effectively
- 5/8-inch thickness and 2-inch width handle tough soil conditions without bending or breaking
- Standard 7/16-inch bolt holes with 2-1/4 inch spacing fit most chisel plow shanks
Built for Real Farm Work
This spike is designed for chisel plows working in everything from corn stubble to heavy clay soils. Whether you’re doing primary tillage after harvest or spring field prep, it’ll handle the rocky conditions and tough residue that come with real farming. The flat nose design works especially well when you need to slice through heavy crop residue without plugging up.
Made to Last
Built tough to handle the constant impact and abrasion that comes with chisel plowing. The steel construction holds its edge well, and the reversible feature means you’ll get twice the life out of each spike compared to single-sided points. When one edge starts to dull, just flip it over and keep working.
Installation Notes
Direct bolt-on replacement using standard plow bolts through the 7/16-inch holes. Make sure your bolts are tight before heading to the field—loose spikes can work their way off the shank and get lost in the field. Check bolt tightness periodically, especially when working in rocky ground.
