Built for Real Farm Work
This power steering box is designed for MF 135 tractors already converted to power steering or as part of a complete conversion using kit 62170. Whether you’re maneuvering around the barn with a loaded bucket, making tight turns at row ends, or trying to hold a straight line while discing, proper power assist makes every job easier. This isn’t just a cylinder bolted to your steering – it’s a sophisticated hydraulic valve system that provides just the right amount of assist. Turn the wheel slowly for precise control when hooking up implements. Crank it fast for quick direction changes when needed. The internal valving senses your input and amplifies it proportionally, maintaining that mechanical feel while eliminating the effort.
Made to Last
Quality seals and precision-machined components ensure years of leak-free operation, even under the demanding conditions of loader work. This isn’t some cobbled-together aftermarket piece – it’s built to handle the vibration, pressure cycles, and abuse that comes with real farm work. The internal components are engineered to maintain that factory feel while standing up to years of hard use.
Installation Notes
Installation requires hydraulic system knowledge – you’ll need adequate pump capacity and proper plumbing. Most operators have a shop handle installation, which typically takes 4-6 hours. Use only recommended hydraulic fluid and maintain clean conditions during installation. After installation, cycle the steering lock-to-lock several times to bleed air. The transformation is immediate – what used to be a workout becomes effortless. If rebuilding your existing box, use repair kit 63290. The steering column (63258) may also need replacement if worn.
