Description
When your old Farmall starts losing power or you hear a slight ticking from the valve train, worn intake valves could be the culprit. These valves control the air-fuel mixture entering each cylinder, and when they’re not sealing properly, you lose compression and power when you need it most. Whether you’re pulling a plow through spring ground or running a PTO implement all day, good valve sealing keeps your tractor running strong.
What You’re Getting
- Precisely manufactured to 4-57/64 inch valve length – matches original factory specifications exactly
- Heat-treated valve face and stem designed to handle the demands of agricultural work
- Direct replacement for original equipment – no modifications needed for proper fit
- Quality TISCO construction that meets or exceeds International Harvester standards
- Part of complete engine rebuild kits when doing major overhauls
Built for Real Farm Work
These intake valves fit the reliable 100 series, 200 Series, Super A-1 Series (prior to S/N 310300), Super AV-1 Series (prior to S/N 310300), and Super C Series tractors. Designed for the 4-cylinder gas 123 CID engines with 3-1/8 inch standard bore that powered thousands of small farms across America. These tractors handled everything from cultivating row crops to belt work around the farmstead, and proper valve operation keeps them earning their keep.
Made to Last
Farm engines work hard in dusty, demanding conditions, and these valves are built to handle the heat and pressure cycles of real agricultural use. The intake valves deal with constant temperature changes from cold morning starts to hot afternoon field work, plus the abrasive effects of dust and debris that slip past air filters over the years.
Installation Notes
This is a job for someone comfortable with engine work – you’ll need to remove the head and use proper valve spring compression tools. Each engine uses 6 intake valves total, and it’s smart to replace all of them at once rather than mixing new and worn valves. A good machine shop can check your valve guides and seats while you’ve got everything apart.
