Description
When you spot coolant leaks around your water pump or notice grinding noises from a worn bearing, you don’t always need to replace the entire unit. Sometimes the housing cracks from freeze damage or the bearing bore gets worn oval, but your impeller and shaft are still good. This cast iron pump body lets you rebuild with the parts that are working while fixing what’s broken—saving money and keeping your tractor running.
What You’re Getting
- Heavy-duty cast iron construction that matches original MF specs for proper fit and durability
- Precision-machined bearing bore ensures your shaft runs true and bearings last longer
- All coolant passages, mounting bosses, and bypass provisions match factory design exactly
- Allows you to reuse good impeller, shaft, and bearing components from your old pump
Built for Real Farm Work
This housing works on a wide range of Massey Ferguson tractors from the utility 165s up through the bigger 690 row-crop machines. These 60-90 horsepower tractors handle everything from loader work to heavy implement pulling, generating serious heat that puts stress on cooling systems. The cast iron construction handles pressure and temperature cycles just like the original part.
Made to Last
This replacement uses the same grade cast iron as original MF parts, with proper wall thickness to handle the pressure and heat cycles your engine puts it through. The bearing bore is machined to exact specifications—critical because a sloppy fit means premature bearing failure and another rebuild.
Good to Know
Before you start the rebuild, inspect everything carefully. A new body won’t fix a bent shaft or worn impeller, so check shaft runout with a dial indicator and look for damage on the impeller vanes. Always use new seals and gaskets—don’t reuse the old mechanical seal even if it looks okay. This is also a perfect time to flush your cooling system and check hoses while you’re working on it.
