Description

There’s nothing worse than hearing your cooling fan roaring constantly or watching the temperature needle climb when you’re trying to get work done. If your Case or McCormick tractor’s fan is either locked up and screaming all the time, or not engaging when things heat up, this viscous fan clutch is the fix you need. This temperature-sensitive component is the brain of your cooling system, automatically engaging the fan when needed and freeing up valuable horsepower when it’s not.

What You’re Getting

  • Temperature-sensitive silicone fluid that responds predictably to changes throughout its service life
  • Smart operation that can free up 10-15 horsepower during normal operation compared to a direct-drive fan
  • Progressive engagement that prevents shock loads on belts and bearings
  • Sealed construction that prevents contamination and ensures years of maintenance-free operation

Built for Real Farm Work

This clutch fits your Case CX90 or CX100, and Case Maxxum MX90C or MX100C models, plus McCormick CX70, CX75, CX100, CX105 and MC90, MC95, MC100, MC105 tractors. These are versatile machines that handle everything from loader work to field operations, and they need cooling systems that can keep up with varying demands without wasting power.

Made to Last

When your engine is cold, the fluid remains thin, allowing the fan to slip and reducing power draw to almost nothing. As operating temperature rises, the fluid thickens progressively, smoothly engaging the fan to provide exactly the cooling needed. The hermetically sealed design maintains this precise calibration for the life of the unit.

Installation Notes

Handle the unit carefully during installation – never turn the clutch upside down or store it on its side, as this can cause the silicone fluid to migrate. Inspect your fan blades for damage or imbalance before installation and ensure the radiator is clean for proper airflow. After installation, you should notice the fan spinning freely when cold but gradually engaging as the engine warms up.
