When your engine is cold, the fluid remains thin, allowing the fan to slip and reducing power draw to almost nothing. Installation Notes

Handle the unit carefully during installation – never turn the clutch upside down or store it on its side, as this can cause the silicone fluid to migrate. Inspect your fan blades for damage or imbalance before installation and ensure the radiator is clean for proper airflow. After installation, you should notice the fan spinning freely when cold but gradually engaging as the engine warms up.
