Description

When your rev counter starts bouncing around like a nervous cricket or quits working altogether, you’re flying blind on engine speed – not ideal when you’re trying to nail that perfect PTO RPM for your baler or avoid over-revving during transport. This replacement rev counter cable connects your engine to your dash gauge, giving you smooth, accurate readings that help you operate efficiently and keep that engine running strong for years to come.

What You’re Getting

  • Precision-wound inner cable that transfers rotation smoothly without jumping or sticking
  • Heavy-duty outer casing designed to resist kinking and heat damage from engine bay conditions
  • Proper length engineered specifically for your Ford New Holland tractor models
  • Quality end fittings that ensure secure connections at both the engine drive and gauge

Built for Real Farm Work

This cable is made for the Ford New Holland workhorses you see every day in the field – the reliable 10 Series tractors like the 7810, 7910, and 8210, the versatile 30 Series machines from the 3830 up to the 8830, and the heavy-duty TW Series tractors from TW5 to TW35. These tractors handle everything from row crop farming and hay operations to loader work and general farm maintenance, where knowing your exact RPM isn’t just helpful – it’s essential for getting the job done right.

Made to Last

Rev counter cables work hard in tough conditions, constantly flexing and spinning while exposed to engine heat and vibration. This replacement uses a precisely wound inner wire that won’t stretch or bind like worn-out cables, and the outer casing is built to handle temperature swings and the occasional bump without cracking or deteriorating.

Good to Know

Installation typically takes 30-45 minutes if you follow the old cable’s exact routing – improper routing is the fastest way to kill a new cable. Avoid sharp bends that restrict the inner cable’s movement, and make sure the engine drive connection is fully seated. At the gauge end, tighten the retaining nut finger-tight plus a quarter turn – over-tightening can damage your gauge. If your rev counter still acts up with the new cable, check your angle drive at the engine, as these wear out too.
