Built for Real Farm Work
This heater is specifically designed for International Harvester 966, 1066, 1086, and 1466 tractors—the workhorses that have been earning their keep on farms for decades. Whether you’re running a dairy operation that needs equipment ready before dawn, managing livestock in harsh winter conditions, or just want your backup tractor ready when the weather turns nasty, this heater ensures reliable starts when the temperature drops.
Made to Last
Farm equipment has to work in tough conditions, and this block heater is built to match that reliability. The heating element is designed to withstand repeated heating cycles and temperature swings, while the freeze plug mount creates a secure seal that won’t leak or work loose over time.
Installation Notes
This heater installs in the left-side freeze plug location and requires removing the existing plug first. Make sure the engine is cold before starting, and clean the mounting surface thoroughly for a proper seal. The heater uses replacement cord A44813 when the original cord needs service. A few hours of pre-heating on cold nights makes all the difference between easy starting and a long cranking session that wears out your starter.
